it's been awhile..

ok, it's definitely been a long time since i've done this whole blogging thing.. lol. so much has happened since my last post. i am now MRS. dyall and we are so happy! we got married on august 6th, 2011. our parents could not have done a more fabulous job on our wedding, it was perfect and so much fun! a few days after we got married, we headed down to texas to fly to hawaii. our gift from tim was a 6-day stay in kauai, hawaii... let me just say...we LOVEEEDDD it! adam still gets sad when he sees something that reminds him of hawaii. (cuz he misses it so much- he just said)...we think it would be fun to live there, even if we have to be beach bums ;) we (emily) took about 700+ pictures (adam was maybe took 10 ha!)

there were so many wonderful fruit stands on the side of the road where we stopped and got some fresh mango, pineapple, coconut, star-fruit, drank fresh coconut milk, and papaya. i would say our favorite was definitely the fresh mango, it had a different kind of tartness and it was soo delicious! we made it around the entire island on our vacation!! some of the things we did besides swimming and hanging at the beach included a lua'u at the grand hyatt hotel that was near our condo in poipu.

the next activity was ziplining through the mountains (which happens to be the wettest place on earth) and it was next to where tropic thunder was filmed.. it had 7 different lines and it was scary but the views were amazing!

next we took a boat tour along the coast of Na Poli.. this part of the coast can't be driven around and we got to see where some of pirates of the caribbean, indiana jones, jurassic park, and popeye movies were filmed. around our boat, we saw TONS of huge sea turtles, and spinning dolphins everywhere!!! our boat was small so we also got to go inside about 3 of the sea caves out there by the super white sandy beaches were...the water was like a teal-light blue and was gorgeous! there was a waterfall in front of one of the caves and they had the newleyweds sit on the front of the boat and they slowly "christened" us underneath it, leaving us soaking wet (it was pretty funny!) towards the end of our cruise, we got to jump out of the boat and go snorkeling by some sea turtles! i definitely started feeling sea sick towards the end because while we ate lunch, we started rocking and ugh it's the worst feeling ever! tim's condo was super amazing and had a GREAT ocean view!!

if you're friends with me on facebook, check out my albums! by far the best vacation of our entire lives and we DEFINITELY had island fever, and now we're looking at when we can go back! just a warning though, hawaii is EXPENSIVE!! soo.. we need to start saving for that soon :) anyways, a week later, we were back to reality with school starting and adam starting work again. i began my first year at UMSL (univ. of missouri-st. louis) as a junior.. it's definitely a huge campus and a lot to get used to but i think i'll be ok :) i also start back up at home depot this coming week as a cashier again. life is good with my hubby and i.

sorry this is such a long post, i will definitely become regular with this!

love you all!
